Students in 4th grade are working on sculptures of art supplies. They had the choice of making one of the following:
The armature, the inner frame or skeleton that helps support a sculpture, was made out of a toilet paper roll, a paper towel roll, and/or a paper cone. On the outside we covered and shaped the form with Plast'r Craft, fabric embedded with Plaster of Paris. Dipping the fabric into water activates the plaster. You have to work quickly and smooth out the Plast'r Craft fabric before it hardens.
